What Makes Cape Eucalyptus Honey Special

Cape Eucalyptus Tree Source
Our bees collect nectar from Cape eucalyptus trees — known for their rich eucalyptol and beneficial plant compound content. This creates honey with a distinctive flavor profile and a broader spectrum of natural compounds beyond regular honey — combining raw honey's well-documented nutritional properties with eucalyptus-derived phytonutrients.

Raw & Unfiltered — Full Spectrum
Raw and unheated — preserving all natural enzymes (diastase, invertase, glucose oxidase), beneficial pollen, propolis, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. Unfiltered to retain the full spectrum of natural compounds from both the honey and the eucalyptus nectar source.

Comprehensive Nutritional Profile

  • Antioxidants — flavonoids, phenolic acids, and eucalyptus-derived antioxidant compounds supporting healthy cellular protection from everyday free radical and oxidative stress
  • Natural enzymes — diastase, invertase, and glucose oxidase preserved through raw, unheated processing
  • Eucalyptol & eucalyptus compounds — beneficial plant compounds from Cape eucalyptus trees, well-documented for their natural properties
  • Vitamins — B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6), Vitamin C, and other essential vitamins
  • Minerals — calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, selenium, and trace minerals
  • Amino acids — essential and non-essential amino acids supporting healthy protein synthesis
  • Beneficial pollen & propolis — retained through unfiltered processing

Storage Instructions

Ideal storage: Room temperature (59–77°F / 15–25°C) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  • Keep tightly sealed when not in use to prevent moisture absorption
  • Do NOT refrigerate — cold temperatures cause honey to crystallize faster
  • Avoid storing above 77°F (25°C) — heat can damage natural enzymes
  • Keep away from strong odors — honey can absorb surrounding smells
  • Use a clean, dry spoon each time to prevent contamination
  • Properly stored raw honey has an indefinite shelf life

Crystallization is natural: Raw honey may naturally crystallize over time — this is a sign of pure, quality honey and does NOT mean it has gone bad. To return to liquid form, gently warm the container in warm (not hot) water below 104°F (40°C). Never microwave raw honey — high heat destroys beneficial natural enzymes and nutrients.

⚠️ Important: Do not give raw honey to infants under 12 months of age due to the risk of infant botulism. For serious health concerns, seek professional medical attention.
